Cameras cameras cameras!
If you've rented with us before, or if this is your first experience with us, the question of what constitutes as a popular item has probably come across your mind before. Or maybe it hasn't, and that's totally fine too because we're here to answer that anyway.
You've definitely seen these on social media–and they're usually trending for good reasons too!

Fujifilm X100VI
To start us off, we have what's constantly in the top percentage of rentals every year since it's release, the Fujifilm X100VI !
The Fujifilm X100VI was released in February of 2024 so it isn't a new camera, but it's constantly rented out due to both it's virality and also how capable it is as a camera. It combines a powerful 40.2-megapixel sensor and In-Body Image Stabilisation (IBIS) with an iconic, retro design that everyone loves and Fujifilm is known for. And it has a whole 20 built-in film simulations modes! It's also pretty compact, so it's perfect for carrying around with you without sacrificing quality.
We also think that it's a really good camera for all the reasons mentioned above, so much so that we've personally brought this camera with us on our trips! See here for our experience with it!
Special mention to the Fujifilm X100V as it is still a really good camera, it's just not as popular anymore ever since the successor was released.
Ricoh Cameras–we'll let you guess what models these are
Literally any Ricoh camera model. We're not even kidding when we say this, there have been long periods of time where our dry cabinet that usually houses our Ricoh cameras is completely empty. No complaints though!
The Ricoh cameras we have (GR III, IIIx, III HDF, IIIx HDF, IV, IV HDF) are all incredibly popular, and similar to the Fujifilm X100VI we've also brought these on our personal trips! They're so fun to use, as you're able to customise film simulations with their own built-in presets. Or you can also just stick to only using the built-in presets, as they're really good just on their own. Pair that with a large sensor and the pocket-sized body, they're super handy to bring around with you all while not sacrificing quality. And we love a good quality shot.
DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and 4
Now picture this; it's October of 2023 and the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 just got released. So as with any piece of technology that's new, everyone and their mothers and uncles and distant relatives want to try it out. Fast forward to April of 2026, lather, rinse and repeat of the same story. So we scrambled to meet the demands, and we'd like to think we did!
Both camera models are high demand rentals, due to how compact the camera bodies are, and the image quality that you're able to achieve with it. You also don't have to worry too much about shaky footage, since the gimbals on the cameras make your life a whole lot easier! Pair this with the accompanying Creator Combos for them, and you have a whole vlogging set-up ready for any adventure with you. Psst. we have the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P too!

Insta360 GO Ultra
Similar to the DJI Osmo Pocket cameras, the GO Ultra has been popular since it's release and we believe it's largely because of how POV shots are made so much better with this camera. We love a good POV shot.
While not as tiny as the Insta360 GO 3s, the GO Ultra is especially useful because it's able to capture 4K/60fps video, has premium stabilisation, and a versatile detachable design into an incredibly small and lightweight 53g body. Another major perk is the fact that it's able to use external storage, as it has a micro SD card slot (that the GO 3/GO 3s doesn't have) so you're not limited to built-in storage space. It's widely considered a massive upgrade for hands-free POV shooting compared to similar cameras!

Canon RF 24-70mm f2.8 L IS USM Lens and Sony FE 24-70mm f2.8 GM II Lens
Literally any and every 24-70mm lens, regardless of the brand is highly popular. They go out for rentals on a weekly basis, sometimes even daily! We use this focal length for almost all our posts on our socials, including the photos in this blog as well.
The 24-70mm focal length is an industry-standard "workhorse" because it's a highly versatile focal range. It can seamlessly replace several prime lenses, allowing you to capture both sweeping wide shots and tight portraits without swapping gear. They also come in variations of constant apertures, so you have options between more premium f/2.8 or more affordable f/4. If you ask any photographer/videographer (or us!) for lens recommendations, this focal length is usually the answer.
Wrapping things up!
This list of popular gears is definitely not exhaustive, as we have so many other pieces of gear that are also pretty high in demand! We highly recommend to finalise your rental with us as soon as you can to avoid disappointment 😄 Rent with us today at Renticulous!
