The forgotten...but not abandoned!
Every few months (or more like every month at this rate that brands are pushing new cameras), there’s a new camera that promises to completely change the way we shoot. And while the newest releases naturally get most of the attention, some of the best rental choices are cameras that have been with us for a long time.
So we thought we’d like to shine light on cameras that might not be the first ones people think of when wanting to rent something, but deserve their place in the limelight because of how good they (still) are!

Very basically speaking it’s (almost) the same camera as the X100VI, but with the flexibility of having interchangeable lenses.

This camera used to be so hyped up when it first came out, because it's a really good camera to start with if you're getting into content creation!
It's compact, lightweight and has both horizontal and vertical tripod threads so you can mount the camera in any direction you'd like, without using any additional cages which is super handy for content creation. It also has multiple recording buttons, which is especially useful for when filming yourself. It also has some pretty good specs, such as 4k resolution, advanced autofocus and it's also able to record in Log!

Casual lore drop! Renticulous started with renting out GoPro cameras so we obviously have a soft spot for them. Even in the big year of 2026 the term “GoPro” is still being used as a moniker when referring to action cameras. But the actual GoPro cameras can be so easy to forget now, with every brand coming out with their own action cameras.
GoPro cameras are still really good, they’re so reliable and always ready to go on an adventure. Sure, you could argue that action cameras of other brands have better specs but never doubt a GoPro camera! You could just find your next favourite action camera to bring around with you.

Before automatically reaching for the latest flagship, why not another look at the less popular, slightly older cameras?
You might find that the smaller, stranger or slightly less-hyped camera is actually the perfect fit for what you want, because not everything that’s new automatically means that it’ll work well for your unique usage.
